Inaccurate statements about obesity

Let’s review a few of the incomplete or inaccurate statements regarding obesity. Most people believe in the simple theory that if you eat less, or less often you will lose weight. Many people believe that exercise is the only way to lose weight.
Well there are some facts in these statements, but the simplistic nature of these strategies will result in eventual failure. (Read about fast food obesity.) Eat less and exercise more is too simplistic a solution, and often it is the only advice a health care professional will provide to a patient struggling with obesity. These strategies only arm you with will power in a competition against cheesecake, spaghetti dinners with garlic bread, and the need to adhere to a rigorous workout schedule. Fighting obesity: Losing weight, and more importantly keeping it off requires less reliance on will power and more reliance on knowledge.
